Crab Shell Soil Amendment
**Coming soon - for Pre-orders email Biostimulant@carymor.wales**
Crab shells are an effective source of N, P, Ca and Mg, and work as a pH buffer in soil. Crab shells also contain chitin which supports plants’ immune system, promotes beneficial microbes and helps inhibit the establishment of some soil-borne pathogens.
We provide two different grades of crab shells - fine and coarse. Use the fine for the optimal nutrient release incorporated in soil, and the coarse for extra sharpness for slug protection used as a topdressing.
Highlighted benefits:
-
Slow release of macro- and micronutrients to sustain healthy crops over the season
-
Protects against pest nematodes and fungal diseases and triggers plants’ natural defence system
-
Improves soil texture, water holding capacity, aeration and helps build organic matter
