At our coastal pub and restaurant, The Old Point House, we are lucky enough to be stationed just around the corner from the Angle RNLI lifeboat station. The pub has a long history with the Lifeboat crew so when they call in we do our best to look after them as well as we can.
We all know how dedicated the RNLI crew members are and how they bravely put themselves at risk to help those in trouble, no matter the time of day or night and the weather they face. We would like to thank all the hardworking crew and volunteers in keeping our coastline safe.
We wanted to give something back so we have been trialling "suspended" brews and pints at the pub. Basically you can donate £5 and this is then is held in reserve so that when a member of the Lifeboat Crew calls in (which they do!) They can have a brew or pint thanks to the generous support of patrons of the Pub! and Beachfood.
We think they deserve a little treat now and then - so if you do too - then you can pay it forward here and buy them a brew or pint.
We will look for a way to celebrate all that have donated too .............watch this space!!
Shipping Charges
Our current charges for UK shipping are £4.95 with free delivery for any orders £40 and over. These charges may be subject to change but will be clearly displayed at checkout.
International Shipping
We can ship internationally and if this is of interest - please get in touch with your requirements through either our contact form or by calling us on our contact number between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday, so that we can discuss this further with you.
Method of Delivery
We generally use Royal Mail and DHL/UK Mail couriers to deliver our products but it may be necessary at times to use other companies/methods of delivery.
Delivery Time
We endeavour to ensure all orders are processed in a timely and prompt manner and shipped as quickly as possible. Due to the current Covid situation, please allow 3-5 working days from the date of order. Please allow additional time for courier services and customs clearance if you are planning to order from outside the UK.
Notification of Shipment
You should receive notification by SMS/email when your order is processed and shipped.

Frozen Products
Our Frozen products (Butters, Pesto and Laverbread) are shipped in protective wool cool packaging so that they arrive with you chilled and are "ready to use" . Please ensure that they are kept refrigerated and used within 10 days of opening/receipt. If ordering frozen products, please ensure you are able to receive their delivery as we may not be able to assist with the replacement of goods that have been subject to a failed delivery that is not due to an issue relating to PBFC or our courier/postal service.
Express Delivery
We can offer an express delivery service which will either be delivered by Royal Mail or Courier within 1- 2 working days. Please select the relevant option at checkout. Please note that it is not always possible to dispatch Frozen products on a Friday using our express delivery service - due to the logistics of products needing to arrive with you chilled, as it is likely they will not arrive until the Monday, given weekend posting/collections. Please note the cut off time each day for booking an express delivery for arrival within 1 -2 working days is 12 pm each day. Orders placed on Fridays or over the weekend may be delivered on either the Monday or the Tuesday of the following week. (Please refer to previous notes regarding Frozen goods and Friday ordering).
I am not a good business man, and I can give you plenty of evidence of the terrible decisions I have made to back up this claim. But for now, let me focus on this one piece of evidence because I think it sums up my way of running a business pretty well............................
